Peter Fredman, 86 years, 6 days, died Tuesday, March 1, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Boyd Yost, Route 3, where he had been living for some time. He was a native of Morgan County, a son of the late Gregory and Rebecca Lutman Fredman, and had lived all of his life here.
Surviving are one son and four daughters John, Mrs. Bessie Lineweaver, Mrs. Millie Stotler, Mrs. Agnes Hovermale and Mrs. Yost, all of Berkeley Springs. A sister, Mrs. Catherine Lutman, of the New Hope community, a brother, George Fredman, of Berkeley Springs, 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren also survive. Services will be held at the Parks Funeral Home Friday, March 4, with the Rev. Paul Slonaker, of First Evangelical U. B. Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.4

F.G. Senger officiating. Burial was in Greenway cemetery.
Four children survive, Mrs. Clara Howe, Huntington, W. Va; Mrs. Nora Isener, Charleston; Lewis, Huntington and Thomas, Jackson, Ohio. Both daughters were here for the funeral. Two brothers, George W. and Peter Fredman and a sister, Mrs. John P. Lutman, all of this place also survive.7

Lillie Florence Unger, 97, one of Morgan County's oldest and lifelong residents, died August 18, 1979 in the Morgan County War Memorial Hospital chronic wing. She was born in the New Hope district of Morgan County on April 19, 1882, the daughter of the late Mary Susan and John Waugh, and she was one of 12 children. She was the wife of the late Redge Unger, who preceded her in death in 1921.
Mrs. Unger is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Opal Heare, 212 Fairfax Street, Berkeley Springs, with whom she resided for many years. Also surviving are three grandchildren, William R. Lutman, Charleston, Mrs. Ernest E. Davies, Jr., Winchester, Va., and Mrs. Edgar H. Willard, Jr., Berkeley Springs; six great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home by the Reverend Jack O. Bird of St. Mark's Episcopal Church with interment in Greenway Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Morgan County War Memorial Hospital.7

Cain, Jr., Falling Waters; four daughters, Mrs. Lucille Marian Clark, Berkeley Springs; Mrs. Leanna Stonebraker, Baltimore, Md; Mrs. Ameion Fletcher, Berkeley Springs, and Mrs. Norma Darrow, Princeton, W. Va; 14 grandchildren; 18 grand-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Florence Unger, Berkeley Springs. Services were conducted at the Johnson Funeral Home Sunday, August 5, by the Rev. Calvin Harden, with interment in Greenway Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Johnson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs.8

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie May Waugh Cain; four daughters-Mrs. Lawrence (Lucille) Clark and Mrs. Norman (Ameion) Fletcher, both of Berkeley Springs; Mrs. Carroll (Leanna) Stonebraker, Baltimore, Md; Mrs. Clinton (Norma) Darrow, Mullens; one son, William Cain, Winchester, Va; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services were conducted Sunday at the Hunter Funeral Home by the Rev. Wilbur Jay and the Rev. C.F. Hickle. Burial was in Greenway Cemetery.4
