Mr. Ruppenthal, born March 11, 1909, in Morgan County, was the son of the late Henry Benton and Ida Webber Ruppenthal. He was an active member of the Hedgesville United Methodist Church and a teacher in the Adult Sunday School Class. Mr. Ruppenthal had 45 years of service with the Western Union Telegraph Company as a maintenance supervisor. He retired in 1973. . . . .
Mr. Ruppenthal is survived by his wife, Goldie Lillian McBee Ruppenthal, at the home. He is also survived by a son, Clarence Benton Ruppenthal, Jr., Hedgesville; two daughters, Mrs. Conrad (Barbara Ellen) Beard, Hagerstown, Mrs. Michael (Lynda Kay) Risinger, Winchester, Va; two brothers, Fred Paul Ruppenthal, Lebanon, Pa., and Rev. Vernon Gregory Ruppenthal, Terra Alta; a sister, Mrs. Lenore Goller, Short Gap, Md; 12 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, at the Hedgesville United Methodist Church with his pastor, Rev. Emory McGraw and Rev. Vernon Ruppenthal, a brother, assisting. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.3

Survivors are two sons and a daughter: Wayne, Garland and Mrs. Forest Newton, all of here; seven grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Ross, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Lottie Fisher, Denver, Ind; Mrs. Flossie Shadel, South Bend.6

Lottie Squires Dies At 82: DENVER-Mrs. Lottie May Squires, 82, Denver, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday shortly after admission to Dukes Hospital, Peru. She had been ill two weeks. Born Nov. 28, 1892, at Pettysville in Miami County, she was the daughter of Jacob and Martha Fishburn Petty. She was first married on Oct. 14, 1914, to Oliver Fisher, who died Dec. 11,1964. She then married on Aug. 5,1965, William Squires, who died Feb. 5, 1967.
A member of the Denver Baptist Church, Mrs. Squires is survived by one son, Arnie Fisher, Denver; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Joe Miller Bourbon; one step-son, Robert Squires, Fort Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Flossie Shadel, South Bend; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son, a sister, and three brothers preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McCain funeral 'home, Denver, the Rev. George Hapner officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn cemetery near Denver. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.8

Oliver C. Fisher, 80, Denver, died at the Peru Nursing Home at 4 p.m. Friday after a ten years’ illness. Born in Benton County, Nov. 13, 1884, he was the son of Charles and Eliza (Armstrong) Fisher. He was married in 1914 to Lottie Petty.
Survivors are the widow, a son, Arnie W. Fisher, Denver; three grandchildren and three brothers, Fred, Denver; Homer, DeLong and Ora, Fulton. Mr. Fisher had spent 48 years in Denver and was a retired employee of the Bryan Mfg. Co. here. He was a member of the Denver Brethren Church. Funeral services are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the McCain Country Chapel with the Rev. George Hepner officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.3
