Henry H. Dodson died Saturday night, September 19, at his home on Laurel Avenue. Born in Everett, Pa., November 11, 1889, son of the late David and Agnes Lamberson Dodson, he was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Glass Sand Corporation. He was a veteran of World War I and was active in the Moose Lodge, American Legion and attended the Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church. His wife, Mrs. Lula Grace Johnson Dodson died October 10, 1950.
Surviving are seven sons, James, Pasadena, Md; Raymond, Paul and Henry J., all of Berkeley Springs; Vernon, with the U.S. Army in Vietnam; Ralph, Jacksonville, S.C; Home, Martinsburg; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) VanGosen, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Frank Dodson, Everett; 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were conducted Wednesday, September 23, at the Helsley Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas W. Jackson. Interment was in the Greenway Cemetery.2

Mrs. Grace Zalla Walls died on Tuesday evening at the home of her mother, Mrs. Rose McBee Householder, Spohrs Cross Roads. Born on January 21, 1893 in Morgan county, she was a daughter of Mrs. Thomas Householder and the late Mr. Householder. Her husband, George Walls, died a number of years ago.
Surviving are her mother; two daughters-Mrs. Dorsey Reed, Hagerstown, Md; Mrs. Pauline Yost, Berkeley Springs; son, Melvin, Berkeley Springs; four sisters-Mrs. Laura Barker, Mrs. Mary LaFollette, Mrs. Clara Cain, Mrs. Dora Weber, Berkeley Springs; four brothers-James, Jerry, William, Berkeley Springs; Roy, of New York; and 14 grandchildren. The body will be removed from the Helsley Funeral Home here to Mt. Zion E.U.B. Church, Spohr's Cross Roads, Friday at 1 p.m., for services at 2 with the Rev. Earl Kesecker officiating. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.6

ObitHarry W.'s obituary was published in the Morgan Messenger on 22 September 1938:

Harry William Michael, aged 50 years, 11 months and 13 days, died Saturday, September 17, in City Hospital, Martinsburg, where he had been a patient for several days. Sometime ago Mr. Michael submitted to an operation for the removal of a kidney and had returned to his home at Smiths Cross Roads, several miles south of here but his condition continued to grow worse and he was again taken to the hospital where he expired.
His widow, two son, Lester and Harry James at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Esther Moon, of Town Creek, Md., survive. One brother Irvin E. Michael and one sister Mrs. Henry Miller, also survive. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Highland United Brethren Church by Rev. J.L. Robertson. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.1
