Mr. Curtis, twin brother of Mrs. Hubert Edwards of Martinsville, also had other relatives in Morgan County. A brother, Robert Curtis of Cloverland, survives. He was the son of David Andrew and Frances Todd Curtis. Mr. Curtis was the uncle of Mrs. Tron Isenhower and Claude Curtis of Martinsville, Ray Curtis of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Thomas Allen of Mooresville.5

An illness of three weeks ended in death Tuesday afternoon at 1:55 for Mrs. Anna Curtis of Paragon R.R. 1. The 80-year-old woman succumbed in Morgan County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Friday. Her funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Cure and Hensley Chapel. Interment will follow in the Crown Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Curtis was born June 27, 1879, in the Olive community in Ashland Township. She had made her home at her late residence for the past 12 years, coming there from the Samaria community north of Paragon. She was the last of the three daughters and one son of Newton J. and Martha J. Miller Sandy. In January 1896, she was married to Oliver T. Curtis, who died in August 1911. Her church membership was with the Church of the First Born at Gosport.
Survivors include three sons, Ora Curtis of R.R. 2, Estel V. Curtis of Stilesville R.R. 1, and Sandy E. Curtis of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Violet Sanders of Decatur, Ill; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Another daughter, Mrs. Leona Walker of LaPorte, died only last Thursday.3 
Death*She died in September 1959 at Paragon, Morgan, Indiana, at age 80; in the Martinsville Hospital; buried at the Crown Center Cemetery.3

Larry Stofford officiated, with burial in Stilesville Cemetery. The son of Charles M. and Nora M. Moss Curtis, he was born March 5, 1897, in Morgan County. In July 1925, he married Mae Neier, who preceded him in death Sept. 7, 1982. Mr. Curtis died Wednesday, Jan. 11 in Morgan County Hospital, Martinsville.
Surviving are son, John A. Curtis, Route 1, Stilesville; daughters: Mrs. Robert D. (Priscilla) Hillery, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Lowell (Virginia) Fisher, Route 1, Stilesville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.5

Mrs. Claudia Ethel Curtis, 82 year-old widow of Alva Curtis, of Adams Township, Monrovia R.R. 1, died Thursday night at the Putnam County Hospital, Greencastle. Mrs. Curtis, who had not been well for some time, was seriously ill only three days. A native of Putnam County, she was born Apr. 15, 1881, to Henry P. and Margarete Adams Dorsett. Her husband, whom she married Aug. 1, 1900, preceded her in death June 28, 1952. Mrs. Curtis had lived in the Adams Township community most of her life until several months ago when she moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Murl Haltom, Cloverdale R.R. 2. She belonged to the Crown Center Christian Church.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elodie Milhon, Stilesville R.R. 1, and a grandson, William Tudor Jr. of R.R. 1, Monrovia. She also leaves one great grandson. Funeral services have been set or Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale, with burial in the Cloverdale Cemetery.5
