Obituary. . . Ray C. Field, 1902-1998. Ray Clifford Field, son of Jason and Elizabeth Field, was born September 18, 1902 in Harper County, Kansas. He passed away Sunday morning, May 24, 1998 at the Attica Long Term Care Facility at the age of 95 years, eight months, and six days.

On December 24, 1925, Ray was united in marriage with Lela Bacock in Anthony and to this union one daughter, Lois, was born. Ray and Lela made their hom on a farm south of Attica where he enjoyed growing wheat and raising cattle. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing when time was allowed. Ray was very devout and helped form and wa a charter member of the E.U.B. Church in Atrtica. It is now the Faith Baptist Church. He attended faithfully and could be called on to help in any are of the church. Lela passed away January 27, 1983 and Ray continued living in Anthony until October of 1997 when he became a resident of the Attica Long Term Care Facility. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lois Field in 1930; his parents and two brothers: Grover Field and Harry Field. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and friends.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 1998 in the Attica Cemetery with Pastor Bob Franklin officiating. Terry Miller sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace." The Elliott Funeral Home in Harper was in charge of arrangements Memorials may be given to Attica Long Term Care Facility.
