Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Roper Cemetery with Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Curtis was born in McBurg, TN, on March 11, 1909, to Samuel E. and Ella Mae McCracken Curtis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valeria Cross Curtis, and four sons, Harold Curtis, William Walter Curtis, Joe Ed Curtis and John Neal Curtis. Survivors include one son James E. Curtis of Taft, TN, three daughters, Virginia Webb of Athens, AL, Annette Heard of Toney, AL, and Betty Mahathey of Huntsville, Al; two sisters, Charlie Mae Griggs and Pattie Curtis both of Nashville, TN; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.2
