Louise Curtis, 70, of Burkesville, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Cumberland County Hospital. Louise was born on June 4, 1943, in Ravenna, Ohio, to the late James Charlie Myers and Mary Melton Myers. She was a member of First Christian Church, and a former employee of Curtis & McComas, WKYR Radio, and the Cumberland County Water Department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Joey Curtis, and three brothers, Paul Myers, Curtis Myers and Haskel Myers. Survivors include her husband, Joe Howard Curtis, of Burkesville; one son, Bill Curtis and his wife Darla Watson Curtis, of Burkesville; two brothers, Troy Myers, of Donaldson, Tenn., and Gale Myers of Winchester, Ind; five grandchildren, Mary Jo Brown and Anthony Kyle Curtis, both of Tompkinsville, Neeley Jo Curtis and Robert Frazier Curtis, both of Burkesville, and Andie Thacker, of Taylorsville, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, with Brother Scott Ferguson officiating.1
