Mr. Curtis died on Friday, November 7, 2008, at 10:25 p.m., at Trigg County Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Curtis was born on June 3, 1968, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Carlos “Buddy” and Mildred Ladd Curtis.
Mr. Curtis was a logger, and a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Doug Gibson.
Survivors include step-mother, Sharon Curtis of Cadiz; two sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Curtis and Peggy and Timmy Jackson, all of Cadiz; half-brother, Wayne Cotton of Princeton; two half-sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley and Joe Anderson of Bowling Green and Debbie Stewart of Paducah; step-brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Maria Gibson of Saint Johns, Ariz; and two step-sisters and brothers-in-law, Meri and Marc Frye of Cadiz and Sheri and David Jones of Murray. Margaret Curtis, pianist, and Wesley and Krista Curtis, vocalists provided the music. Serving as pallbearers were Timothy Jackson, Christopher Jackson, David Anderson, Jon-Michael Adams, Malcolm Wynn, and Gary Wayne Curtis.

Funeral services were conducted at Liberty Point Baptist Church Tuesday, October 30, at 2 p.m. with Rev. L. L. Terrell and Rev. Clarence Wood officiating. Music services were by the Calvary Quartet with Mrs. Mae Frankel, organist. Burial was in mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Survivors include her parents, Garnett and Jessie Carmack Ladd, Route 4, Princeton; her husband, Carlos "Buddy" Curtis; two sons, Douglas Edward Curtis of the home, and Wayne Cotton of Caldwell County; four daughters, Helen Marie Curtis and Peggy Elaine Curtis of the home, Shirley Ladd of Caldwell County, and Debbie Stewart of Princeton; and one brother, Gilbert Ladd of Princeton. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 1:30 PM Sunday, April 19, 2015. Burial will follow at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, KY. Outland officiating and burial in East End Cemetery. A native of Lamasco, Fowler was born Dec. 3, 1915, son of the late Cortis Jefferson and Alice Cotton Fowler. He was a retired farmer, a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church and a 50-year Mason at the Lamasco Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Alpha Louise Curtis Fowler; a son, Earl Fowler Jr., Trigg County; a daughter, Judy F. Bridges, Trigg County; a stepson, Norris Mitchell, Trigg County; two stepdaughters, Margie Oliver, Trigg County, and Carolyn Henderson, Hopkinsville; a sister, Ludie Burchett, Princeton; and three grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 18 step-great grandchildren.1

Burial will be at Stewart Cemetery in Trigg County. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5 at the funeral home. A native of Hammond, Indiana, he was born Feb. 28, 1964, the son of the late Gayl Hopson and royce Janette Harper Curtis. He worked at Derby Fabricating in Cadiz and served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Curtis. Survivors include two brothers, Phillip (Kathy) Curtis, Cadiz, Gregory Curtis, Bethesda, Maryland; two sisters, Rikki Brown (Scott) Johnson, Menahga, Minnesota, Samantha (Mike) Curtis Warren, Bloomington, Illinois, and one step-daughter, Amanda Brison, Cadiz. Memorial contributions may be made to Stewart Cemetery fund, 1451 Old Hopkinsville Road, Cadiz, KY 42211.2
