She was also preceded in death by sisters, Elsie Haddock, Essie Horton, Lorene Robertson, Mavolyn Clayton, Mary Lou Luna, Carmie Faye Clayton and brother, Paul Daniel.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Wanda Fowler of Nashville; brother, Marcus (Marie) Daniel of Collinwood, granddaughter, Amy (Buddy) Creech of Nashville; grandson, Chris Fowler of Portland, Oregon. Cecil Lawson, 92, of Florence, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009, at ECM Hospital after an extended illness. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today, Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Greenview Funeral Home. The service will follow at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with Miles Stutts and Kenneth Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Mr. Lawson was a native of Florence, a member of Wood Avenue Church of Christ and was retired as a carpenter with Reynolds. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Lawson, and parents, George and Eliza Lawson. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Ruth Lawson, of Atlanta, Ga; sister, Anne Lawson Thorn, Florence; grandchildren, Todd Lawson and his wife, Soo, of Stamford, Conn., and Monica Lawson, of Lula, Ga; and great-grandson, Ethan Lawson, of Stamford, Conn. Pallbearers will be Fred Gray, Pud Harrison, Allen Jones, Fred Kirchner, Allan Lindsey, Chris Roberson and Bill Wooten.1
