He was a veteran of World War II and a past employee of Dixie Yarns. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Curtis Evans; two sons, Tom Evans of Elberton, GA., and Ray Evans, Bridgeport, Ala; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Allmon, Hixson, Tenn; eight grandchildren; one brother, Henderson Evans of Madisonville, Tenn; three sisters, Mrs. Montalee Holcomb, Chickamauga, Ga; Mrs. Bunia Watkins, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., Mrs. Lillie Dunn, Deleon Springs, Fla; several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The body is a the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home, Highway 153, Hixson.3 |
