He was born in San Francisco, California on October 1, 1923 to George and Ruth DeSpain. He worked as a chef, and food service manager for 45 years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ila DeSpain; daughters, Sheila Giardina, Dawn Holleman and Lavuan Dean; and his son, Del DeSpain; grandchildren, Samantha Dosier, Axel Savage, Krista Dumatrait, Heather Judd, Hilary Dean, Jasmine Holleman, Hope Dean and Grant Holleman; great- grandchildren, Wayne Reyes, Misty Reyes, Buddy Reyes, Logan Judd and Maddox Dumatrait. He was a joy and so full of life. He will be missed by his family and friends. There will be a memorial service for Ken at Daybreak Baptist Church on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Dotson.
