I was drafted into the military service in 1945, Received my basic training in Louisiana, sent to Japan in the fall of 45. Discharged in 1946 and came back to Arkansas where I met my wife "Thelma Jean Johnson", We married on Dec.10, 1949.-Moved to Calif. in 1950 where we raised two boys and one girl.moved back to ark in 1979.bought a farm and built up to a herd of 150 milking Holsteins. lost our son Roger in 1987, he is buried beside his Mother here at Round Mountain. I miss them both very much & will join them when I also get the call Home. anyone who has never known Love will never know how much I miss my wife Thelma of 53 years.²

Curtis of Antioch, Calif; a brother, Kevin Neal Curtis of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Carla Gayle Warren of Fayetteville; and maternal grandparents Jack and Lydia Johnson of Fayetteville. Taul Ladd Curtis, 89, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Grace Living Center in Jenks. Mr. Curtis was born April 26, 1916 in Muldrow to John E. Curtis and Annis Frederick Curtis. On March 24, 1940 he married Marie Robinson and resided in Oilton, moving to Sapulpa in 1961.He was a United States Army Veteran, an electrician by trade and worked for Douglas Aircraft until retirement. Mr. Curtis enjoyed tinkering, reading and family genealogy. Taul Curtis mostly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Curtis was preceded in death by both parents John and Annis; three brothers; his wife Marie (April 7, 2001); and his son Vic.
He is survived by four daughters Julie Cargill, of Trimble, Mo., Jeanie Barnhart, of Glenpool, Nancy Taylor, of Suches, Ga., and Marci Morrow, of Sapulpa; one son Ric Curtis, of Sapulpa; and his sister Dorothy Alsip, of Victorville, Calif. He also is the loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Pall bearers are Vince Curtis, Scott Cargill, Zac Morrow, Jay Morrow, Doug Wyer and Randy Crawford. Honorary pall bearers are Cole Barnhart and Casey Taylor. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Brett Allen officiating. Burial immediately followed the service at the Highland Cemetery in Oilton.¹
