He is survived by his sons, Richard Glen and Bruce Stanley Curtis, both of Texas sister, Leona Fisher, of Sylva and several grandchildren. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Garrett Funerals and Cremations chapel with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Veterans Section, with military rites conducted by a military unit from Fort Bragg. Tilda Chandler Curtis, 85, of 108 Dolan Rd., Waynesville, died Thursday March 5, 1981 in the Waynesville hospital after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Rebecca Webb Chandler and wife of Milas Curtis, who died in 1937. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Curley Stamey and
Grace Smathers of Waynesville and Tenny Smathers of Washington; two stepchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crawford Funeral Chapel, Waynesville, the Reverend Ricky Mehaffey officiating. She was buried in Greenhill Cemetery, Section #5.5
