L. Curtis, 80, of Andrews died Thursday (April 19, 2007) at her residence. A native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Woody Hyatt and Lola Marie Sudderth Raxter and the wife of the late Wayne Henry Curtis, who died May 1, 1995. She was a retired seamstress and a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Jean Capouano and husband, Albert of Longwood, FL and Judy Curtis of Andrews; a son, Wayne W. Curtis and wife, Erica of Andrews; a sister, Elizabeth McCleland of Hoschton, GA; two brothers, Jack Raxter and Walter Raxter both of Andrews; and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Sunday April 22 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Eddie Hardin officiating. Interment in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Scott Raxter, David Libke, Michael Watson, Marcus and David Capouano, Bryan Roberts, and Mike Sorrell.3
