Mrs. Mary E. Rose, 89, formerly of Parkersburg, widow of Zina L. Rose, passed away at noon Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Wagner, 420 N. Morgan St., Olney. She was the daughter of Andrew and Rachael Harris, and was born in Richland County on April 14, 1870. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vera Eckly and Mrs. Blanche Wagner, both of Olney. There are seven grandchildren, 13, great-great grandchildren. There is also a brother, Alonzo Harris of Parkersburg, a sister, Mrs. Celeste Arnold of Evansville, IN. The body was taken to the Schaub Funeral Home.3

Friends may call at the Summers-Marshall Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. today. Mr. Harris was born in Richland County the son of Andy Harris and Rachel Curtis Harris. He was a Male Nurse for many years in and around the Richland County area. He had served a term as Mayor of the Village of Parkersburg. He leaves four children: C.A. Harris of Scottsdale, Ariz., Joseph Harris of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Marie Robbins of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Gary Harris of Parkersburg. There are several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Celesta Arnold of Evansville, Indiana. His wife of a second marriage, Mrs. Mabel Harris and a son, Rutherford Harris have preceded him in death.

Henry Edward Curtis, 96, a 53-year resident of the Wenatchee area, died in Parkside Manor Nursing Home on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1988. was born in Nebo, Ill., on March 25, 1892, to Samuel and Icy (Zumwalt) Curtis. He spent a number of years in Illinois and then Iowa, coming eventually to Kansas City, Mo., where he remained for a time. In 1916, he married Agatha Bartlett. She died in 1958. That same year he married Selma Covey. He came to the Wenatchee area in 1935, and worked at the Harris Mill in Ardenvoir for some time. He was also a Pentecostal minister in Ardenvoir and Wenatchee for a number of years. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Jameson of Anacortes; three stepdaughters, Velma Fulwiler of Malaga and Orlie Carkaden and Evelyn Nieshe, both of Concrete; one stepson, Donald Cook of Puyallup; one brother, Maynard Curtis of Mountain Grove, Mo; four sisters, all of Mountain Grove; 25 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1975, two sons and one grandson. Betts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.3
