Obit | Robert Harold's obituary was published in the Ctizen-Times on 27 February 2005: Asheville Citizen-Times (NC) - February 27, 2005 Robert Harold Curtis Robert Harold Curtis, 73, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at his home. Robert was a native of Clay County and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired roofer and had worked in Chicago for 32 years. He was the son of the late John Wesley and Charlotte Mae Palmer Curtis and was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Puette Curtis. Mr. Curtis is survived by his sister, Virginia Dair Curtis of Hayesville; brother, William H. Curtis of Jackson, S.C; niece, Sandy Rich; and three nephews, John, Quentin and Bobby Curtis, all of Jackson, S.C. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Frank Rose Sr. Memorial Chapel in Hayesville. Pastor Hoyt Brown will officiate and the New Hope Choir will sing. Interment will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Johnson, Bruce Davenport, John Curtis, Randy Curtis and William Shelton. Townson Rose Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.3 |
