Otis was the "Strawberry King" of Hiwasse for a few years. His patch covered about 20 acres or more north of the Nazarene Church. He had about five or six employees the ear round. He also did truck farming, raising tomatoes, beans, etc., as well as milk cows. Otis left Hiwasse in the 1940's and moved to Washington. Otis also did construction work, working on the McNeary Dam (near Tri-Cities, WA.)²

Death*

Otis Lee Pruitt died on 11 June 1990 at Emmett, Gem, Idaho, at age 86.²
