William spent the next four months fighting to slow the Japanese conquest of the Philippines. On April 9, 1942, he became a Prisoner of War when Bataan was surrendered to the Japanese. Mildred Eugenia Curtis was born to Bill and Dot Curtis Feb. 3, 1922 in Muskogee, and passed from this life May 2, 2007 in Denison, Texas, at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 27 days. Jean married David A. Ward Jan. 1, 1942. She raised five wonderful children. Jean was a dedicated member of her church.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David A. Ward; one son, David A. Ward Jr; two brothers, Bud and Archie Curtis; and one sister Shirley Curtis. Jean is survived by three daughters, Gretchen Turner of Tahlequah, Judy Swindle and husband Jerry of Sherman, Texas, and Rebecca Raines of Denison, Texas; one son, Billy Ward of Terrell, Texas, four sisters, Mary and husband Colle Hendrickson of Denison, Texas, Rosie McFall of Dallas, Texas,

Rose Marie Curtis-McFall was born on March 8th, 1928 in Muskogee, OK, the daughter of William Anderson and Dolpha Ellen (Hess) Curtis. She attended school in Muskogee, OK and graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1945. In 1948, she married the love of her life and her best friend, Wallace James McFall of February 7th at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL. This union was blessed with two sons, Wallace James and Joseph Patrick and fifty one years of memories and happiness. In 1965, Rose Marie moved to Tahlequah, OK with her husband, starting the family business, McFall Plumbing in 1973. Rose Marie was a Christian by faith and active in the South College Church of Christ. She enjoyed making a home for her husband and her family, they were everything to Rose Marie. She had a beautiful smile and was kind and loving, the kind of friend you were always happy to hear from. Her husband passed from this life in 1999, and she would later move to Dallas, TX where she spent the remainder of her days, enjoying time spent with her family. Rose Marie went to her eternal home on May 18th, 2016 in Dallas, TX. She was 88 years old. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Wallace James "Jim" McFall Jr. and wife Jean of Walling, TN and Joseph Patrick (Joe) McFall of Dallas, TX. She leaves one brother and three sisters, Ethelene Head of Ft. Worth, TX, Mary Hendrickson and husband Cooie of Denison, TX, Charles Curtis and wife Carolyn of Ivanhoe, TX, and Sally Lynch and husband earl of Amarillo, TX. She leaves two sister-in-law, Norma Curtis of Muskogee, OK, and Pat Curtis of Tahlequah, OK. Her love of life lives on in her grandchildren Amy Farmer and husband Dale of Walling, TN and Ashley Cobb and husband Dory of Bowling Green, KY, and great grandchildren, Katie Farmer, Kara Farmer, Andrew Cobb and Matthew Cobb. She will be remembered by her good friend, Jim Donndelinger of Dallas, TX, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.5
