He was born April 7, 1929, in Fallsville, Ark., to John Franklin Curtis and Allie Belle Bryson Curtis. He worked for Synergy Gas delivering propane and Sallee Electric rebuilding electric motors for many years. He loved hunting and fi shing. Thomas married Anna Louise Johnson July 7, 1951; they first met at Applegate Drug Store at the soda counter in downtown Bentonville. Their favorite pleasure was dancing; anywhere they found a dance floor from Missouri through Arkansas. To pay for their first home, they would travel to Washington State each summer to pick apples, enjoying every minute together; it has been a beautiful life. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his six siblings.
Thomas is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Louise Curtis; son, Marvin and wife, Melynn, of Rogers; daughter, Florence Bassham and husband, Howard, of Bella Vista; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2013, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.
