Obit | Jacob Eugene's obituary was published in the SouthtownStar on 23 December 2003: J. Eugene Gene Weisenberger, long-term resident of Chicago Heights, IL died Sun. Dec. 21, 03 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Peoria, IL. He was owner/operator of Genes Delivery Service from1947 until his retirement. Mr. Weisenberger was born June 6, 1919 in Browns, IL to Thirza Maria Curtis and Jacob Weisenberger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Matz Weisenberger in 1988. Surviving are one daughter, Gail [Dale] Christensen of Tremont, IL; three sons, Gart [Sue] of Steger, Glenn [Carol] of Richton Park and Greg [Cora] of Chicago Heights. 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren also survived. Mr. Weisenberger served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the First United Methodist Church of Chicago Heights & Moose Lodge #828. Services will be Friday Dec. 26, 2003 at 12:30 PM Service with visitation one hour preceding at Hub Funeral Chapel, 13th & Otto Blvd. In Chicago Heights. Burial will be in St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery in Flossmoor, Ill. |
