Burial will be in Midway Cemetery, directed by North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange. Mrs. Faulks was born in Jones County and grew up in Midway. She attended Hardin-Simmons University and taught school for two years in Pulltight. She farmed in Hodges for many years and was a homemaker and a member of Hodges Baptist Church. She married Emzy Faulks in 1930 in Jones County; he preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Ruth Sims and Sue Barron, both of Abilene, Billie Naylor of Rio Hondo and Barbara Goza of McAllen; four sons, Larry Faulks, Tommy Faulks and Danny Faulks, all of Abilene, and Jerry Faulks of Brownwood; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hodges Baptist Church, 13933 C.R. 495, Hawley 79525. The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. today.3

Ralph E. Howerth says he likes to travel and "I expect to be doing a lot of it from now on." Howerth, a guard at Ohio Power Coo.'s Philo plant, retured from his job Oct 1. Howerth lists his hobbies as flower gardening and "TVing," which gives some hint about his other future activities. The first long journey he has in mind is a trip to Texas, where he wants to visit with some relatives.
Howerth, who has been a guard at the plant ever since being employed there in July 1941, was in the dairy business with his father from 1908 to 1916 in New Lexington. He had a couple of other jobs before serving in the Army from May 1918 to July 1919 with Co. E., 309 Engineers. Most of that time was spent in England and France. When he returned to New Lexington after the war, he was associated with Cunningham Ford Agency, Ludowici Caladon Roofting Tile Co. and Koenig Bakery before joining Ohio Power at Philo.
He has been a member of the New Lexington Methodist Church for 40 years and the 309th Engineers Association for 35 years. He and his wife, Dorothy, reside at 242 Highland drive, New Lexington.8

A World War 1 veteran, he was a retired guard for the Philo plant of the Ohio Power Cp. and a member of the First United Methodist Church at New Lexington; the 209th Engineer's Association and 34th? Division A.E.F. Surviving are three brothers, Alvah M, Thornville; William E., Junction City; and Earl of Lancaster: a sister, Miss Hazel Howerth, New Lexington and several Nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today (Weds.) at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Frederick M. Hamrighouse? officiating. Burial was made in the New Lexington cemetery.9
