Obit | George Washington's obituary was published in the Abilene Reporter News on 29 December 1913: G.W. Faulks Dies. Body Was Brought to Abilene Over the Abilene and Southern Monday Morning for Interment. G.W. Faulks, aged 60 years, died the night of December 27 at Maverick, Runnels county, Texas. The body was brought to Abilene this (Monday) morning for interment in the Abilene cemetery. It is understood that there are four sons surviving, one living north of the city. As to the name of this son it could not be learned. Interment will be sometime this after, though the hour has not been set. (Abilene Reporter News, Monday, December 29, 1913.)9 |
