She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Fortenberry; sons, Jack Fortenberry and Gary Fortenberry; brother, Wallace Witt; sisters, Ruth Pratt, Maudell Presnel, Letha Frazier, Dena Ford, Dora Emert and Laura Carter. She is survived by son, Tom Fortenberry and wife, Bunny; daughter-in-law Betty Fortenberry; sister, Anna Elmore and husband, Orville; sister-in-law, Louise Witt. Grandchildren, Eric Fortenberry and wife, Amy, Kristi Smothers and husband Drew, Robin Logan and husband, Dan, Gina Fortenberry and Paul Fortenberry. Great-grandchildren, Ivy Smothers, Hamilton Smothers, Jackson Smothers, Jake Logan, Emily Logan, several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. John Jackson officiating. Family and friends will leave Rose Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and go in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. |
