Mrs. Bervia Jane Bowers, 78, of Route 1, Blue Ridge (Fannin County), passed away at the Copper Basin Hospital on November 16, 1969. She was the daughter of the late George Picklesimer and Mary Hughes Picklesimer. Mrs. Bowers had been a member of the Cooper's Creek Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Survivors are her husband, Mr. Joseph S. Bowers of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Rose Bell Picklesimer of Hemp, Ga., Mrs. Nancy Wells of Pottersville, N. Y., and Miss Della E. Bowers of Blue Ridge; five sons, George D. of Blue Ridge, Andy of Blue Ridge, Bill of Mineral Bluff, Ralph of McCaysville and Randell of Blue Ridge; three brothers, Van Picklesimer of Mineral Bluff and Andy and Dall Picklesimer of Blairsville, Ga; 38 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Interment was in the church cemetery.²
