He married Nellie Ruth Hooten in March of 1956 and they had 3 children: Donna Denise Curtis, Ronald Lee Curtis, & Scott Maurice Curtis. Donald is survived by his wife, Nellie; his 3 children, Donna Hysell and husband Vernon of Eufaula, Ronald Curtis and wife Cindy of Eufaula, and Scott Curtis and wife Angela of McKinney, Texas; 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Garland Curtis of Eufaula, Leroy Curtis of Checotah, Jerry Curtis of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Fred Curtis of Deming, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Maurine Sofia of Phoenix, Arizona, and one brother, John Curtis of Eufaula. Donald was an avid sportsman and loved his hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his family and made sure we never left his home without a hug goodbye and an "I love you" for the road.2 |

Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Survivors include: her sons, Ron Curtis and wife Cindy of Eufaula and Scott Curtis and wife Angela of Dallas; her daughter, Donna Hysell and husband Vernon of Eufaula; her brothers, Paul Hooten and wife Wilma of Eufaula and Bill Hooten and wife Sherry also of Eufaula, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Eufaula Church of Christ with Minister Charlie Bailey officiating. Pallbearers will be Beau Magreevy, Matt Magreevy, Josh Hysell, Colton Heath, Devan Edwards, and Josh Hooten.
