Obit | Charles Carrol's obituary was published in the Unknown Newspaper on circa 8 October 1941: Charles Carroll Curtis, born 15 April 1867 at Curtisville, Ill. Died at Coleman, Michigan 7 Oct 1941. Son of Tom and Susan Glide Curtis, family of six. He went to school at Curtisville, leaving there at an early age. He went to California and married Martha Neal in 1898. Three chldren born: Martha born 2 March 1884, died 7 May 1911 in Albion. In 1914 he married Laura Root of Albion, who survives. One daughter, Mrs. Grace Beyer of Chicago, two stepsons and three stepdaughters. Charles then went to Saginaw from 1924 to 1931. He was working near Coleman when he died, and was buried at Graceland Cemetery in Albion.9 |
