He was born April 28, 1928, in Bergman to Cortis Earl and Ethel Winnie Jackson Curtis. He was a member of the Lincoln Church of Christ, the Lincoln Riding Club, and the Operator and Engineers Local Union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Boling Curtis.
Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Braly of Lincoln and Dana Stanfill of Westville, Okla; two sons, Danny Curtis and Buddy Curtis, both of Westville; a sister, Leota Webb of Harrison; a brother, Henry Curtis of Oklahoma City; a step-sister, Sue Simmons Groff of Texas; seven grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lincoln Cemetery with Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be James Ray Stanfill, Jason Stanfill, Bryan Curtis, Paul Braly and Glenn Braly. Memorials can be made to the Lincoln Scholarships Fund, in care of Lincoln High School, 201 E. School St., Lincoln AR 72744. Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.6 |

Aaron attended the CrossRoads Community Church, active in the men's group, Sunday school classes and Tuesday morning prayer group. Aaron loved the outdoors and looked forward to deer hunting, fishing, turkey hunting and even did a little duck hunting around Bull Shoals lake in the past. He had worked for Carver Furniture Store and later owned and operated the store which closed in the mid 90's. He went to work for Security Bank in 1996, later Regions Bank and moved to Fayetteville to work for Arvest Bank till 2008 when he moved home to be closer to family. He was a loving son to his parents and a wonderful father to his daughter. He will be missed by the many friends he made through the years. Aaron was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Walker. He is survived by his parents, A. and N. Curtis of Bergman; a daughter T. and husband L. Watkins of Harrison; and a sister B. and husband S. Valentine of Harrison. Services will be 10 AM, Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison with his pastor Rev. Johnny Walters speaking. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery on Hwy 7 North next to his parents property. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeal Home.1 |
