Funeral service for William Cicero Curtis, who died March 21 at his home in New York city, was held Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Hawfields Presbyterian church, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. N.N. Fleming, pastor of the church, assisted by Dr. J.R. McGregor of the First Presbyterian church of Burlington, conducted the service. Pallbearers were: Walter M. Williams, G. David Curtis, Oscar Curtis, McBride Holt, Cecil Cooke and Euclid Cooke. Flowers, in charge of Miss Agnes Curtis and Miss Frances Teague, were carried by Mesdames A.D. Williams, David Curtis, Misses Ruby Hope, Lillian Warlick, Lizzie Terry, Katie Teague, Evelyn Curtis, Josephine Curtis, Nellie Curtis and Lucy Curtis.11
