He was married Dec. 24, 1919 in Rochester to Edith WORMAN, who survives. He was a retired bulk truck driver for the Farm Bureau Co-op and a member of the Macy Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and formerly was a member of the World War I Barracke. Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Arlene PALMER, Wabash; five sons, Herbert [COLLINS], Indianapolis; Robert [COLLINS], South Bend; Norman [COLLINS], Macy; Donald [COLLINS], Milford, Mich., and Larry COLLINS, Lebanon; twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers preceded in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home with the Rev. David SMITH officiating. Burial will be in the Macy Plainview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of services.2 |

MOW, aged 64, passed away Thursday evening at 11 o’clock at his home on East Eighth street, this city. The deceased had been in ill health for the past 15 months suffering from paralysis. His condition became critical about three days ago. Mr. Mow had been a resident of Rochester throughout his entire life where he was employed as a laborer and also as a fisherman’s guide at Lake Manitou. He had a wide acquaintance among the anglers in the northern section of Indiana. Zenith, son of Adam and Lucy MOW was born in Rochester, Indiana on March 17th, 1872. On September 6, 1896 he was united in marriage to Laura E. MOORE, who preceded him in death. The survivors are two daughters Mrs. Leonard LOWE, and Mrs. Rex ROUCH, both of this city; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother Bert MOW and a sister Mrs. William LYNN, of California. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leonard Lowe, East 4th street. Rev. Herbert M. RIGGLE will be in charge of the services. Interment will be made in the Citizen’s cemetery.5 |

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Service Circle of the church, and was a life member of the Eagles Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving with the daughter, Georgia LIMING, is another daughter, Marguerite ZIMMERMAN, Walkeerton; five grandchildren, Nancy HOFFMAN, Rochester; Earl BECK, Graham, Texas; Tim THOMPSON, Washington, D.C; Steve THOMPSON, Chicago, Ill., and Verle ZIMMERMAN, Fort Wayne; eleven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew, Mrs. Paul (Verla) ZARTMAN and Evelyn DeMEIN, both of Rocheser, and Wilbert ROUCH, Wabash. Mr. Rouch, who had been ill five weeks and in a serious condition since submitting to major surgery Dec. 21, died of uremic poisoning. A life resident of Rochester, Mr. Rouch was born Nov. 17, 1896, the son of George and Marietta ROUCH. He was graduated from Rochester High school and on July 15, 1942, married the former Agnes CRIST. A poultry buyer for many years, he was a member of the Eagles and Moose lodges and the LeRoy Shelton American Legion Post. He was custodian of the Manitou Aerie Eagles lodge rooms during the last six years. Survivors include the wife and three children by a former marriage: Mrs. Ernest SHIVELY, Miss Verla ROUCH and Wilbert ROUCH, Rochester; a grandson, Rex Roger ROUCH, Rochester; a stepson, Ralph CRIST, Rochester; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl BLUE, Chicago, Mrs. Mae FUGATE, Rochester; two brothers, Arthur ROUCH, San Antonio, Tex., and “Jerry” ROUCH of Rochester. The body lies in state at the residence on the southwest side of Lake Manitou.2 |
