Born east of Fulton on Nov. 30, 1922, he was the son of George MILLER, Sacramento, Cal., and Mrs. Montana G. MILLER, 925 Madison street. He graduated from Twelve Mile high school and was a member of the Congregational church. A realtor in Grand Rapids for the past 16 years, he previously had lived in Logansport and Kokomo. He was a veteran of air force duty in World War II. Surviving, besides the parents, are the wife, Elizabeth Ann [MILLER]; two daughters, Sandra Jean and Shirley [MILLER], both at home; two brothers, Harold E. MILLER, 1108 Madison street, and Robert L. MILLER, St. Louis, Mo; and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Lillian Ann) BLACKBURN, Las Vegas, Nev. A sister and a brother preceded him in death. Funeral rites are pending at the Metcalf funeral home in Grand Rapids, where burial will be conducted. Thursday, September 5, 1963 Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Metcalf funeral home at Grand Rapids, Mich., for Dale E. MILLER, 40, a native of Fulton county who died Tuesday night in the Blodgett’s hospital at Grand Rapids. Death was due to cancer. Mr. Miller, who was born east of Fulton, owned a real estate firm in Grand Rapids named Dale E. Miller and Associates. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at Grand Rapids.2 |

She was past 80 years of age and was the mother of Charles [SLIFER] and Urmy SLIFER of this place. For many years she was a member of the Methodist church at Five Corners. She was the widow of Ezra SLIFER and for years lived on their farm west of town in Fulton county, but several years ago moved to Macy and at the time of her death was living in the CARL property next to the M.E. church. Besides leaving a number of sons and daughters, having been the mother of fifteen children, nine living to be grown, she also left a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. DAVIES and interment in Plainview cemetery. - - -.7 |
