He volunteered with the Civil Defense Auxiliary in Hobart for 13 years and the Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers in Tucson, AZ for 18 years. He was also a member of the Catalina Lion's Club. Elmer is survived by his wife of 70 years, Leah (Shelby) Cook; daughters: Karen Remaley of Tucson, AZ and Shelby (Peter) Bolke of El Paso, TX; son, Le Roy (Margo) Cook of Tucson, AZ; grandsons: Jeff (Patty) Remaley of Portage, IN, Kent (Colleen) Bolke of West Carthage, NY and Kevin (DeDe) Bolke of Monterey, CA; great grandchildren: Joel (Gabby) Remaley of Portage, IN, Thomas and Elisabeth Bolke of El Paso, TX, Max, Benjamin, Nicolas, and Rex Bolke of Monterey, CA, and Brennan Davis of West Carthage, NY; and great-great grandson, Jayden Remaley of Portage, IN.4 |
