Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florence Curtis, Farmers Branch; daughters, Mrs. Ruby Marcom, Misses Betty and Barbara Curtis, Farmers Branch; sons, Roy of Houston, Troy, of Carrollton, Fred and Charles of Farmers Branch; father, C.W. Curtis, of Honey Grove; two brothers, Tom, of Union Bower, and Ed, of Vickery; three sisters, Mrs. J.L. Hill, Richardson, Mrs. Zelma Hill and Mrs. Mattie Hill, of Farmers Branch. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Farmers Branch, with burial in Restland Memorial Park. He was a World War I veteran, serving in the Navy. Two of his sons have recently received their discharges from serving in World War II.7 |

Mr. Curtis resided in the Union Bower community, and is survived by his wife and one daughter, three sisters, Mrs. Jake Hill, Mrs. Willie Hill and Mrs. W.T. Hill, the latter two living in Farmers Branch, and three brothers, Otis of Farmers Branch, Tom of Dallas and Edd of Vickery, his father, C.W. Curtis, resides in Dallas. The funeral was conducted at the Methodist church in Union Bower Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Gatlin officiating with burial in the Mt. Calvary cemetery. The many friends of the bereaved family offer sincere sympathy in their hour of sorrow.8 |
