Unknown Fathers Curtis
M, b. circa 1775
Last Edited | 16 Jan 2023 |
NoteB | Descendants of Henry, Isaiah, Harman, Mason Robert, James McDonald and Edward Hezekiah are members of the Curtis DNA Project at Family Tree DNA, and have matching profiles; John, Henry, Isaac and "J.B." are possible brothers of Mason Robert. According to a descendant, Mason's father, name unknown, may have had as many as 19 sons and 2 daughters by two marriages. It is highly unlikely those parents appeared in either the 1850 or 1860 cenuses, making complete identification nearly impossible. DNA test results match descendants of this group with descendants of Major Thomas Curtis (1599-1662), of York County, Virginia, the first Curtis family in America. |
