He married Ruby Worley January 20, 1947 in Red Bud. She preceded him in death in 1987. He was a timber worker and a member of the Xenia Community Church of Xenia. Clinard is survived by four sons- Jerry Curtis (and his wife Debra) of Clearwater, Idaho; Randy Curtis (and wife Barbara) of Malvern, Ark; Donald Curtis (and his wife Lorenza) of Sayre, Okla; and Luke Curtis (and wife Carol) of Flora; 5 daughters- Barbara Pruitt of Flora; Elaine Bullard of Flora; Marlene Cosner (and husband Allen) of Flora; Donna Holtzinger (and husband Doug) of Normal; Joyce Williams (and husband Brad) of Rinard; 41 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby, two daughters and one son. Funeral services for Clinard Curtis were held at1 p.m. Monday at Hossleton Funeral Home, Cisne. Visitation was from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial was in the Dietrich Cemetery.4 |

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel by Tim Alexander. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery with arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman. Pallbearers were Jackie Jones, Billy Loveless, Craig Wooten, David Cooper, Russell Leighton, Randy Wooten, and Mark Wooten.2 |

She is survived by three brothers, Richard, Billy and Jimmy Curtis, of Northwest Arkansas, and two sisters, Roberta Pinkley, of Blue Eye, Missouri, and Peggy Roper, of Bella Vista. She is also survived by her son, James C. Johnson, of the home; two daughters, Pam Yarberry, of Green Forest, and Rhonda Buckner and husband Jody, of Springfield, Missouri; several grandchildren, Katrina Newberry and husband Colby, of Green Forest, Renae Yarberry, of Green Forest, Justin Johnson, of Valley Springs, Mallory Buckner, of Springfield, Missouri, Ryan Buckner, of Fair Grove, Missouri, Duke Johnson, of Alpena, and Drew Johnson, of Alpena; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Bennie Johnson; her parents; and four sisters, Alice Graham, Winifred Jenkins, Bobbie Johns and Patty Conrad. Sue attended School of the Ozark, and worked for the State of Arkansas in the health department, then spent several years as a home health care giver. Her passions were garage sales, thrift shops, cooking, embroidery, high heels, starched clothes, and watching the Hogs play basketball, but above all this, she loved and cared for her family deeply. She enjoyed her vacations with her sisters, visiting their brother in California and our annual Curtis family reunions.2 |

Obit | Cassie Mae's obituary was published in the Jonesboro Sun on 5 February 2014: TRUMANN -- Mrs. Cassie Mae Maclin, 90, of Trumann died Monday morning at her home in Trumann. Mrs. Maclin was born in Dover and had lived most of her life in Trumann. She was retired from Singer Co. and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Maclin was preceded in death by her husband, Beard Maclin; two sons, William Armstrong and Bobby Maclin; one great-great-grandson, Aiden Grays; one sister, Mary Hubbard; two brothers, Lawrence Curtis and Jack Curtis; and her parents, Calvin and Mattie Curtis. Survivors include four daughters, Ruby (Junior) Maclin of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Nola Gibbs and Mattie (Hubert) Raney, all of Trumann, and Cathy VanVleck and special friend Robbie Robinson of West Plains, Mo; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home at Trumann with the Rev. Jimmy Pagan officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Point Cemetery at Etowah. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Lyda and Brantley Madden.4 |
