Mr. Kinnaman was born on Nov. 24, 1924, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He retired in 1985, after 38 years as a director of customer Service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, serving three years in India. On July 16, 1949, in South Bend, he married Rose Marie Sule, who survives. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Jack Sule of South Bend; a sister-in-law, Betty Sule of South Bend; and two nieces, Cathleen McMinn of St. Louis, Mo. and Sheryl Allison of South Bend. A sister, Isabelle Brownfield, preceded Mr. Kinnaman in death on Oct. 4, 1980. There will be no services; cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437, or to the charity of donor's choice. Kaniewski Funeral Homes, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.4 |

Born Oct. 31 1866, in Nodaway county, Mo., Mrs. Kinnaman was the daughter of George W. Long and Hester Tyler Long. She married Dr. Andrew J. Kinnaman, who at that time was head of the psychology department of Central Normal college. Her husband died in 1928. Dr. Kinnaman, who was a prominent educator, also was dean of Western Kentucky State Normal University 17 years. Later he was head of the psychology department of Clark university at Worchester, Mass. During this period, Mrs. Kinnaman assisted her husband in research work. The research included a study of animal life in its relation to human psychology. Mrs. Kinnaman, who also was a leader in music circles for a number of years, was a member of the First Christian church and the missionary society of the church. Mrs. Kinnaman entered Central Normal college at the age of 15. A year later she became a teacher in the Hendricks county schools where she taught prior to her marriage. Surviving, besides the son in this city, are three grandchildren, Allen Kinnaman, of Niles, Mich; Mrs. Mary Edith Moe, of Richmond, and Mrs. Martha Jo Matthews, of Los Angeles, Cal., and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at the Bright Funeral home. Burial will be at Spring Creek cemetery near Logansport. Rev. Paul Million will be the officiating minister. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home. |

Erbaugh, 64, of Rt. 2, Brookston, a former Logansport dentist, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday at Home Hospital in Lafayette, where he had been a patient since Aug. 4. A 1927 graduate of the school of dentistry at Indiana University, he started his practice that year in Logansport. He moved to Delphi in 1948, still practicing dentistry. He was a member of Delphi Methodist Church and Mt. Olive Masonic Lodge. Born May 7, 1902, in Logansport, he was the son of Charles Melvin and Addie Kinnaman Erbaugh. He married Florence B. Kirkpatrick on July 6, 1930, and she is the only immediate survivor. A brother, who was also a dentist, preceded him in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cornell Funeral Home in Delphi. The Rev. O.P. Manker will officiate and burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Plainfield, where graveside rites will be held at 12:30 p.m. that day. |
