Born November 13, 1928, he was the son of Charles R. Pentoney, (a retired railroader) and the late Lacy Rankin Pentoney. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Brunswick. Raymond will be missed by many as he lay there in his bed for 20 years or more. He had a cheerful smile for everyone coming in, even to reach them as they went by on the street with a big hello over his intercom system. Raymond never complained for he knew God had work for him to do and he did it, by writing sermons and sending the word of God through the mail to soldier boys and friends, and over the telephone. Yes, he'll be missed but his memories and testimonies will never be - they'll always live in our hearts and hope someday to meet him. By his aunt, Iva A. Rankin Mason.1 |
