Surviving are three daughters, Catherine Vanorsdale, Linda Vanorsdale and Tina Vanorsdale, all of Graham, N.C; five sons, Winford Vanorsdale of Roanoke, Va; Eugene Vanorsdale of Chambersburg, Pa., Isaac and Chad Vanorsdale, both of Graham, and Joddy Vanorsdale of Berkeley Springs; a sister, Violet Carbaugh Bishop of Berkeley Springs; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were Friday, June 17, at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, with the Rev. Hennis Fox officiating. Burial was in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.¹

Beverly Ann "Mama Bear" Waugh, 66, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Born May 30, 1935 in Lansing, MI, she was the daughter of the late Donald M. and Leila May Ebright Harrell. She attended Berkeley Baptist Church, Berkeley Springs, and in the 1960s had served as a Sunday school teacher. She attended Blue Ridge High School, New Milford, PA. She worked at Londontown Manufacturing in Hancock during the 1960s and then moved to Boca Raton, FL where she owned and operated a gift shop until 1981 when she returned to Berkeley Springs. She also worked as a waitress at Barb's in Hazelton, PA and had been a homemaker in recent years.
She is survived by one son, Larry Wayne "Bear" Waugh of Berkeley Springs; three grandchildren, Robert Waugh of Boynton, FL, Ann Beverly Waugh of Hagerstown, MD and Larry w. Waugh, Jr. of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Joan Valentine of Hedgesville, WV; two brothers, William Harrell of Oregon and Robert Harrell of Geneva, NY; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Carroll Waugh on November 7, 1982; her second husband, Leon William Roach on August 17, 1989; two sons, Jimmy Carroll Waugh, Jr. and Gary Lee Waugh and one brother, Donald M. Harrell, Jr. Services and interment will be private. The Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs handled the arrangements.³
