She was a representative for Stanley Hoe Products, and was formerly employed with the Citizens National Bank in Berkeley Springs, and Century 21 Real Estate. She was a member of Charles Town Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband, Ercel V. Cain; one daughter, Melody Lefebvre of Martinsburg; two sons, Rodney E. Cain of Morgantown and Andrew M. Cain of Martinsburg; two sisters, Mildred Courtney of Hancock and Cathy Keener of Greencastle, Pa; four brothers, Lloyd, Floyd and Walter Beddow, all of Berkeley Springs and Richard Beddow of Harpers Ferry; and one granddaughter. Funeral services were held Friday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home with Edwin Floyd and tom Miller officiating. Interment was in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.²

Born November 26, 1919 in Frederick, Md., she was the daughter of the late Walter George Henry and Mary Rueyann Keyser Clem. She attended Highland United Methodist Church and Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, both in Berkeley Springs. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Women's Sunday School Class at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Alderton Dawson American Legion Post #60 in Berkeley Springs.
Surviving are two sons, Robert G. Clem, Alexandria, Va., and Walter "Peanut" Cain, Berkley Springs; one daughter, Kathy C. Yost, Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Dorothy Jacobs, Margaret Dutrow and Betty Cannon, all of Frederick, Md; two brothers, Walter Clem, Jr. and David Clem, both of Frederick, Md; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Murel Cain, on February 8, 1982. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, October 16, at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, with the Rev. Dr. E. Dwight Byrne officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Morgan County.²
