He had been in ill health for more than a year but was able to be up and around. Born May 28, 1880, he was a son of the late Daniel and Frances Pentoney Householder. He was a farmer and canner and served one six-year term on the Morgan County Court. He was a member of Bethel E.U.B. Church at Sleepy Creek. Surviving are his widow, the former Mollie G. McCullough, whom he married September 23, 1899, three sons-Daniel R., Keyser, Samuel, Cumberland, Md., and Paul W., Cherry Run; three daughters-Mrs. Lorraine Butts, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Thelma McBee, Sleepy Creek and Mrs. Rosalie Clingerman, Hancock, Md. Twenty-two grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. The body will be taken from the Parks Funeral Home this (Thursday) afternoon to the Householder home near Sleepy Creek. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at Mt. Zion Church, Spohrs Cross Roads, with the body being taken to the church at one. The Revs. Earl Kesecker and Lloyd Bowman will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.1 |

Funeral services are being held today Wednesday, June 13, at 2 p.m. at the Snyders Bible Church with the Rev. Glen Rader officiating. She was a postmaster, Cherry Run from 1959 until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the Hedgesville Chapter No. 67, Order of the Eastern Star and was past Worth Matron of that chapter. Surviving are two sons, Richard Leo Clingerman of Rexford, N.Y. and Daniel Paul Clingerman of Hedgesville; one sister, Thelma McBee of Hedgesville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1 at the Snyders Bible Church with Pastor Glen Rader officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.2 |
