Funeral services for Benjamin Harrison Daily, 61, who died early Thursday morning, February 12, following a brief illness, were held Saturday afternoon at Trinity Evangelical U.B. Church with the Rev. E.D. Spencer officiating. A native of this count, he was a son of the late James C., and Susan Rankin Dailey. For the past several months he had been employed at the Victor Products plan here.
Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn DeHaven and Miss Lorraine Dailey; two sons, Roscoe and Dayton; a brother, William, and two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Cross and Miss Lilly Dailey, all of Berkeley Springs. Burial was in Greenway Cemetery where the Junior Order, of which he was a member, conducted graveside services.5

Blanche E. Lutman passed away October 28, at War Memorial Hospital. Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William E. and Annie Mariah Younker Breakall, she was the wife of the late George Lutman. She resided with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hugh Lutman, and granddaughter, Jackie. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Leslie McCormick, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lutman was a faithful member of the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church and has served as Past Matron of the local chapter of Eastern Star. Eastern Star will conduct memorial service at 8 p.m. tonight, at Hunter's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Louis Emerick Friday, October 31, at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.3

Jack Hugh Lutman, 48, died this Thursday morning at 5:10 in Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. Death was due to a heart ailment from which he had suffered for a month. Born in Berkeley Springs October 25, 1912, he was a son of Mrs. Blanche Breakall Lutman and the late George W. Lutman. For many years he was employed here by Interwoven. The past three years he was with Victory Hosiery in Hagerstown, Md. He was a member of the Elks in Martinsburg and attended the Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Virginia Holliday, a daughter, Jackie, at home; his mother, at home, and one brother, Roy, of Berkeley Springs. The body is at the Hunter Funeral Home where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Greenway cemetery.5

Virginia E. Neely Lutman, 79, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, February 28, 1997 in War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas Neely and Sarah Whisner Neely. She was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs. She was a member of the American Legion Post 60 Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Teresa Lerner, Berkeley Springs, and Rita Mason, Raeford, NC, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Lutman in 1968; two sisters, Margaret Tyson and Agatha Maranville; four brothers, Vernon, Walter, Samuel and Raymond Neely. Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs with the Rev. John S. Ledford celebrant. Arrangements were handled by the Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home.4

She died in the triumphs of the living faith, enjoining on her friends to meet her in Heaven. Her remains were interred in the Dutch Graveyard at this place. Rev'd Mr. Smith preaching a beautiful Sermon from the words "And I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, write, "Blessed, blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for they rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."6
