Surviving are one son and four daughters John, Mrs. Bessie Lineweaver, Mrs. Millie Stotler, Mrs. Agnes Hovermale and Mrs. Yost, all of Berkeley Springs. A sister, Mrs. Catherine Lutman, of the New Hope community, a brother, George Fredman, of Berkeley Springs, 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren also survive. Services will be held at the Parks Funeral Home Friday, March 4, with the Rev. Paul Slonaker, of First Evangelical U. B. Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.4 |

She was born in the New Hope district of Morgan County on April 19, 1882, the daughter of the late Mary Susan and John Waugh, and she was one of 12 children. She was the wife of the late Redge Unger, who preceded her in death in 1921. Mrs. Unger is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Opal Heare, 212 Fairfax Street, Berkeley Springs, with whom she resided for many years. Also surviving are three grandchildren, William R. Lutman, Charleston, Mrs. Ernest E. Davies, Jr., Winchester, Va., and Mrs. Edgar H. Willard, Jr., Berkeley Springs; six great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home by the Reverend Jack O. Bird of St. Mark's Episcopal Church with interment in Greenway Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Morgan County War Memorial Hospital.7 |
