She was born in Fulton county on June 21, 1886, to James and Rebecca (FEECE) CLEMANS. Her husband, Estil KINDIG, preceded her in death in 1921. Mrs. Kindig was a member of the Athens EUB church. Survivors are three sons, Lawrence and Lester [KINDIG], both of Warsaw, and Leon [KINDIG], of Akron; three daughters, Mrs. Faye FUNK, of Chicago; Mrs. Parentha JOHNSON, of Mentone, and Mrs. Bernice FANSTAMACHER; nineteen grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren; one brother, Everett CLEMANS, of Akron and one sister Mrs. Rebecca RHOADES, of Athens. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Moyer-Haupert funeral home, Akron. Rev. Claude FAWNS will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Hope cemetery, at Athens.4 |

Wayne road, died at 3:30 Monday morning after a sudden illness of three days. He was stricken while on his way to Rochester to serve as juror in the Curtis FINNEY case and taken to Woodlawn hospital, where it was learned he was suffering from gastric ulcers and that his condition was serious. As a result the trial was postponed awaiting his being able to return to the jury box. He was born near Akron July 26, 1888, the son of Orville and Alfretta KINDIG and lived in this vicinity all his life. He was a member of the Church of the Living God at Akron. He is survived by his wife, his parents, three brothers, Thornton [KINDIG] of Logansport, Francis [KINDIG] of Akron, Vernon [KINDIG] of Ft. Wayne, three sisters, Mrs. Justin HALL, Rochester, Mrs. Elmer WIDMAN, Akron, Mrs. Lott RICHARDSON, Everett, Wash., and six children, Byron [KINDIG], Pauline [KINDIG], Herman [KINDIG], Ge rald [KINDIG], Nettie [KINDIG] and Dorthea [KINDIG]. Funeral at the U. B. church, Athens, Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock with Rev. Daniel SLAYBAUGH officiating. Burial at Athens. The six pallbearers will be chosen from the members of the jury with whom the deceased was serving.1 |

WOLFORD, 1306 Michigan avenue, Logansport, which occurred in the Cass county hospital at 10 o’clock Tuesday evening. Death resulted from paralysis following an illness of three weeks. Mr. Wolford was a retired government employee. The deceased was born in Argos, Ind., on July 20th, 1873. In 1900 he was united in marriage to Rebecca KEPLER, who was a sister of the late Charles [KEPLER] and James KEPLER, of this city. The survivors are his wife; a son, Frank [WOLFORD], of Logansport, and a daughter, Ruth MACE, also of Logansport; a foster son, Keithie KEPLER of LaPorte; three grandchildren, and a brother, Ulysses WOLFORD, of Boon Grove, Ind. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, two o’clock, at the Wolford home in Logansport. Rev. Franklin ARTHUR, of Fulton, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Mt.
