Foy Edgar Faulks, 90, went to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 19, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, 5701 Highway 277 South, with Rev. Derrell Patterson and Rev. Steve Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. Mr. Faulks was born December 30, 1913 in Jones County, Texas, the son of the late J.W. and Mattie Moore Faulks. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1934 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Eileen Smith in Abilene on December 20, 1946. He worked for R & R Electronics before going into business for himself. In 1962 he opened F & M Electronics and was President of the company until he retired in 1983. After his retirement he volunteered at West Texas Rehab and Sears Nursing Center. He was a member of Tye Baptist Church. Mr. Faulks was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Archie and Wendell Faulks; and two sisters, Vista Newman and Era Boyd. Survivors include his wife, Eileen; one daughter, Marian Teague and husband John of Abilene; two grandchildren, Chris Teague and wife Shelly, and Noelle Lindberg and husband Darrell; five great- grandchildren, Austin, Treg, Sidney, Zach, and Madison; one niece, Donnie Boyd; and three nephews, Bill Newman, John Newman and Foy "Butch" Newman.²
