Mrs. Watson was a retired Instructor Emeritus at Caldwell Community College, a charter and founding member of Altrusa International of Caldwell County and past president, a member of the Cosmetology Association and The North Carolina Cosmetology Instructors Association and served as president, was a member CCC&TI Retirement Association. She was also a member of Hudson First Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Ronald Hal Wellman of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Mrs. Hughleta Edmiston and husband Johnny and Mrs. Sherry Smith and husband Allan, both of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Shannon Wellman Waterson and husband Travis, Christopher Edmiston, and Robert Smith and wife Aimee; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren Smith and Meredith Smith. Graveside services will be held Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Cemetery conducted by Rev. R. Mack Jarvis III.2 |
