She leaves behind her children, Jonatha Roberts Swatek (Bob) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Nan Curtis Peaks (JL) of Williamston, NC, Jesse Wed (Curt) Curtis II (Sandra) of Watkinsville, GA, and Tony Dale Curtis (Cathy) of Midlothian, VA. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of nearly 60 years, Jesse Wed (Papa Jake) Curtis and grandson, Clay Dean Curtis. In addition to her children, she had 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Her family, church and her nursing were her passions. She took great pleasure in nursing patients of all ages across the county. At first, a hospital nurse at Martin General and then at the Martin County Health Department as a prenatal nurse. She always gave 100 percent in everything she did. She will be remembered as a strong willed woman. Private graveside service will be on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 11AM at Martin Memorial Gardens. Biggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.2 |
