She was retired from Burlington Industries. She was a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Linda Long of Burlington; two sons, Mr. Craig Curtis of Burlington and Mr. Ronnie (Aurelia) Curtis of Graham; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Hancock of Graham, Mrs. Jessie Lunsford of Reidsville and Mrs. Ruby McWhorter of Warner-Robbins, Ga; five grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Wade Cox, pastor of Nall Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park. The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home of a son, Mr. Ronnie Curtis, 501 Mendel Terrace in Graham.1 |

He was married on December 31, 1945 to Mary Lee Johnson Curtis. Survivors, in addition to his wife, are sons, Jesse Wed "Curt" Curtis, II of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Tony Dale Curtis of Midlothian, VA; daughters, Jonatha Swatek of St Louis Missouri, and Nan Curtis Peaks of Williamston; grandchildren, Matt Curtis, and Charlie Curtis; sons of Jesse Wed, Spencer Curtis, and Michael Curtis; sons of Dale, Julie Matkins, and Jeri Lyn Wynn; daughters of Nan, Jay Peaks, Gloria Wilhelm, and Tammy Mills; step-children of Nan; five greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 200 Vance Street.4 |
