Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Trigg County. Mr. Curtis died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 6 p.m., at his home of natural causes. Mr. Curtis was born on June 13, 1927, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Arva Mason and Vallie Alice McAllister Curtis. Mr. Curtis was a retired carpenter and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John Curtis, Boyce Curtis, Wilton Curtis, and Seldon Curtis; and two sisters, Lucy Hamilton and Alpha Fowler. Survivors include two brothers, Malcolm Curtis of Cadiz and Iler Curtis of Fountain Run; and several nieces and nephews. Debra Clayton Curtis, vocalist, provided the music. Serving as pallbearers were Tony Curtis, Cecil Curtis, Donnie Curtis, Earl Fowler, Jr., Gayle Terrell, Brent Curtis, Alvin Curtis, Joe Lee Terrell, and Donnie Holland.4

Mrs. Docia Mae Curtis, 82, Cadiz, died at 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Trigg County Hospital following a short illness. Born in Trigg County on May 9, 1904, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Edmonia Wimberly Burnham. She was a member of the Liberty Point Baptist Church. She was married to Guy Curtis, who preceded her in death in 1969. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Malcolm and Lacy Curtis, who died in 1932 and Feb. 20, 1986, respectively; and one daughter, Eva Lois Curtis, died in 1942.
Survivors include three sons, Harry Lee, Carlos and Sidney Curtis, all of Caldwell County; two daughters, Mrs. Whitson (Mary Alice) Kirby and Mrs. Garland (Nell) Wynn, both of Trigg County; four sisters, Hazel Mitchell, Princeton, and Virginia Cunningham, Lillie Gentry and Mary Ladd, all of Cadiz; and 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren. uneral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Glass and Rev. Raymond Baker officiated and music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Henderson. Burial followed in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Trigg County. erving as pallbearers were Randy Wynn, James Wynn, Douglas Curtis, Charles McAllister, Randy Freeman and Tommy Creamer.4

He was the son of the late Guy and Docia Mae Burnam Curtis. Mr. Curtis was retired from the State Highway Department; was a member of The PLANS Group in Hopkinsville; and was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Ladd Curtis; stepson, Douglas Gipson; three brothers, Harry Lee Curtis, Lacy Curtis, and Malcolm Curtis; and two sisters, Mary Alice Kirby and Eva Lois Curtis. Born July 12, 1910, in Kenton, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Alfred Lynn Curtis and Allie Belle Skinner Curtis. She was also preceded in death by one son, Alford Malick DeBakey on May 12, 1987; and one grandson, Joseph Michael Bryant, on May 12, 2001. She attended schools in Braggadocio and later attended nursing school. Mary was united in marriage to Alexander Mark DeBakey on July 9, 1933, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1955. She and her husband owned and operated DeBakey's Grocery & Mercantile in Braggadocio for many years, and she was a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.
Mrs. DeBakey leaves one daughter, Anna Belle Bryant, of Braggadocio; and Three grandchildren: Mark Bryant of Kennett, Mo., and Mark DeBakey, and Keith DeBakey of Colorado Springs, Colo. Funeral services for Mrs. DeBakey were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with Rev. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was at the Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville with H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.2

Sidney "Sid" Curtis, age 69, of Princeton, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Tradewater Health and Rehab Center in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Mr. Curtis was a life-long farmer and retired from the University of Kentucky Agriculture Research and Education Center in Princeton where he worked as a farm technician. He enjoyed participating in horse show competitions and mule wagon riding. Mr. Curtis was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Princeton.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margaret Bridges Curtis of Princeton; one son, Rev. Wesley Curtis of Princeton; one daughter, Krista (Thomas) Futrell of Cadiz; three granddaughters, Savannah Futrell, Emma Futrell, and Gracie Futrell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Docia Mae Burnam Curtis; four brothers, Carlos "Buddy" Curtis, Harry Lee Curtis, Lacey Curtis, and one brother in infancy; and three sisters, Mary Alice Kirby, Nell Wynn, and one sister in infancy. Visitation will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018. The funeral service will be at Midway Baptist Church, 4184 State Route 126 in Princeton, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, with Reverend Jeff Boone, Reverend Duane Burden, and Reverend Wesley Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Millwood Cemetery in Princeton.

A woman of the Baptist faith, Mrs. Wynn was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and had sang in the choir. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Garland Woodrow Wynn, her brothers Harry Lee, Lacy, Malcolm and Carlos "Buddy" Curtis, her sisters Mary Alice Kirby and Eva Lois Curtis, her daughter Lisa Carol Wynn, her stepson Harlon Wynn, and her grandchildren Kay and Faye McAlister. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, John Curtis, Boyce Curtis, Wilton Curtis, Seldon Curtis, and Norris Curtis; and two sisters, Lucy Hamilton and Alpha Fowler. Survivors include a brother, Iler Curtis of Fountain Run, Ky; and several nieces and nephews. Debra Clayton Curtis, vocalist, provided the music. Serving as pallbearers were Cecil Curtis, Donnie Curtis, Tony Curtis, Gayle Terrell, Brent Curtis, Darrell Curtis, Dale Curtis, Donnie Joe Holland, and Earl Fowler, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Linda Terrell, Jenny Curtis Stasinski, Debra Clayton Curtis, Shelia Holland, Brenda Jones, Carolyn Henderson, Margie Oliver, Judy Bridges, Gayla Sholar, Andrea Dunn, Lisa Curtis, Diane Gyurkovitz, Jeremy Young, Alvin Curtis, Kidell Taylor, Fred Mitchell, Norris Mitchell, Tom Jones, and Roy Neeble.2
