Interment will follow at Lando Cemetery in Lando, S.C. Mr. Curtis was born in Lexington, N.C., the son of the late Fred Curtis and Minnie Brooks Curtis. He was the retired owner of the Cedar Street Barber Shop, a member of American Legion Post 34 in Rock Hill and a member of the S.C. National Guard for 32 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Peggy Blanks Curtis; two daughters, Angela Curtis Brazil (Kelly) of Rock Hill and Rhonda Curtis Morgan (Robert) of Clover, S.C; his brother, Ronald L. Curtis of Rock Hill; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made in Mr. Curtis'; name to Calvary Baptist Church, 830 N. Jones Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730 or to Agape Hospice, 1326 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732. CURTIS, Bobby Mr. Bobby Curtis, age 62 of Jonesboro passed away May 4, 2008 at the Atlanta Medical Center. Bobby was born in Columbus, GA to the late Lloyd Robert Curtis and Lenna Mae Carter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Anderson. Bobby was a hardworking, honest man that loved his family and friends. He loved his girls and spoiled his grandchildren rotten. Bobby enjoyed to golf and watch his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. Bobby and his wife Delores started their lives together on May 8, 1972.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Delores Curtis of Jonesboro; daughters and son in law, Dana Curtis of Atlanta, Crystal (Dennis) Brown of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Madisyn, Kyndal, and Adam Brown; mother, Lenna Stillwell of McCayesville; sisters, Ruby Kephart of Murphy, NC, Lura Carter of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Bill Curtis of McCayesville, Jimmy Curtis of Cleveland, TN; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby Curtis will be conducted Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Griffin First Assembly. Pastor Marty Simpson and Pastor Randy Valimont will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens in Griffin.
