Obit | Sylvester William's obituary was published in the Washington Post on 8 December 1932: Rites for S.W. Caw. Retired Policeman Will be Buried in Rock Creek Cemetery. Funeral servcies will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow for Sylvester W. Caw, 64, retired policeman, who died Wednesday night at his home, 3602 Eleventh street northwest, after a brief illness. Caw, who joined the police force after service in the Army, retired last June. He patrolled a beat in the vicinity of Ninth street and New York avenue northwest, and also served on the mounted force. He is survived by two daughters, Miss Gladys Caw and Mrs. Ralph W. Van Fossen, of Kensington, Md., and a son, Joseph W., of the police bureau of identification. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.9 |

Because of her many achievements she was featured in one of "Ripley's, Believe it or Not", publications, entitled "The Blind Pianist". June 24, 1940. She was buried in Chatfield Cemetery, Minnesota.3 |
