George Tibbutt, who has been a resident of Kingman county since 1884, died at his home on Avenue A East Sunday, December 23. The cause of his death was Bright's Disease and an attack of his heart. For five weeks' he had been confined to his home and not able to get out. His sickness, which terminated in his death, began about two years ago. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Thursday, December 27, at 10:30 a. m. and were conducted by Rev. W. R. Johnson. Interment was in the Walnut Hill cemetery.
George Tibbutt was the son of John and Elizabeth Tibbutt, both of whom were natives of Lancastershire, England. After they came to the United States they located Montgomery County, Ohio. To this family were born five children, Martha Loggins, of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Anna Jones, Denver, Colo., George Tibbutt, the deceased, and two children who died in their youth. Until fifteen years of age, George Tibbutt was reared in Ohio, and attended school there.
At the age, of 17 he went to Illinois, married there to Miss Mildred Wagener, and was renter of a farm until he moved to Kansas. On coming to Kansas in 1883 he and his family first settled 'in Sumner county, residing there until 1884 when they came to Kingman county and settled on the homestead where the town of Rago now stands. Later he exchanged this place, for one previously occupied by D. L. Stratton. This exchange was made in 1892 and in 1901 he bought an additional one hundred and sixty acres. On this land he made a comfortable home, which he had equipped with all the facilities to make it a fine place to live. This was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tibbutt until about a year ago when, because of failing health, they left the farm and lived in Wichita until June 1923 when they located at their present home at 310 Avenue A East in Kingman. Mr. Tibbutt leaves to mourn his untimely death, besides his wife, Mrs. R.W. Campbell, Dr. Cordia Settle, Perry Tibbutt of Wichita. One child, Lawrence Edwin, died, at the age of 18 months in Illinois. There were also eleven grandchildren.5

Theodore married Frances Louise Jones, daughter of Frank Carl Jones and Deuie Louise Counts in 1942 in Eugene, Lane, Oregon. They have one daughter, Sara. Francis was born 22 Jul 1919 in Oregon. In 2009 she lived in Chesapeaka, Virginia. His parents and brother, Tod, all died in Medford, Jackson, Oregon.3

George Tibbutt, who has been a resident of Kingman county since 1884, died at his home on Avenue A East Sunday, December 23. The cause of his death was Bright's Disease and an attack of his heart. For five weeks' he had been confined to his home and not able to get out. His sickness, which terminated in his death, began about two years ago. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Thursday, December 27, at 10:30 a. m. and were conducted by Rev. W. R. Johnson. Interment was in the Walnut Hill cemetery.
George Tibbutt was the son of John and Elizabeth Tibbutt, both of whom were natives of Lancastershire, England. After they came to the United States they located Montgomery County, Ohio. To this family were born five children, Martha Loggins, of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Anna Jones, Denver, Colo., George Tibbutt, the deceased, and two children who died in their youth. Until fifteen years of age, George Tibbutt was reared in Ohio, and attended school there.
At the age, of 17 he went to Illinois, married there to Miss Mildred Wagener, and was renter of a farm until he moved to Kansas. On coming to Kansas in 1883 he and his family first settled 'in Sumner county, residing there until 1884 when they came to Kingman county and settled on the homestead where the town of Rago now stands. Later he exchanged this place, for one previously occupied by D. L. Stratton. This exchange was made in 1892 and in 1901 he bought an additional one hundred and sixty acres. On this land he made a comfortable home, which he had equipped with all the facilities to make it a fine place to live. This was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tibbutt until about a year ago when, because of failing health, they left the farm and lived in Wichita until June 1923 when they located at their present home at 310 Avenue A East in Kingman. Mr. Tibbutt leaves to mourn his untimely death, besides his wife, Mrs. R.W. Campbell, Dr. Cordia Settle, Perry Tibbutt of Wichita. One child, Lawrence Edwin, died, at the age of 18 months in Illinois. There were also eleven grandchildren.6 
Death*Margaret Elizabeth (Retta) Tibbutt died on 1 August 1962 at Kansas at age 83; buried at Hunt Cemetery.2
